Whether seated in the garage that doubles as her rehearsal room surrounded by drying laundry or on a grand stage with her signature flowers in her hair and entertaining hundreds, she delivers homespun humor intertwined with storytelling as she sings songs of Hawai‘i. Karen is a multi-Nā Hōku Hanohano Award winner and inductee to the Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame. She is a wife, a mom, a grandmother, and a proud Hawaiian, as well as a talented entertainer. Karen’s convictions about life and family have remained unshakable. The Performance is brought to you by the Kahala Initiative for Sustainability Culture and the Arts (KISCA).

    The Kahala invites all children (ages 5 and up) to spend the afternoon creating ocean-inspired art while learning about environmental stewardship. Both guests and the kamaʻāina are welcomed to engage and learn about Hawai‘i’s natural resources through the creation. We have all the supplies that keiki need to flex their creative muscles and create one-of-a-kind masterpieces to take home.

    Due to limited availability, reservations are required by 3pm on the day of program (no walk-ins). Parent/gurdian’s presence required.
